In May 2014, Realogistics received an urgent commission from a customer (a state-owned natural gas company in Shaanxi) to transport its goods from Tianjin to Xi’an by land as short as possible.

Description of goods: Liquefied natural gas production line unit (extra high, long, wide and heavy)

Difficulties in operation: As the roll-on-roll-off ship was used for the transport from the international section to Tianjin, it required Realogistics to operate on-board release. Meanwhile, as the goods fell on the extra large category, the document application and escort had to be made at each port, which was a great challenge to Realogistics in addition to the risks in transport. Realogistics made precise planning in this regard. After appointing on-board release with the carrier, Realogistics allocated transport vehicles to wait at the yard for direct loading upon arrival. Besides, Realogistics prepared all documents necessary for each step in advance, completing certification at each port within the shortest time. After customs clearance, Realogistics transported the goods from Tianjin to Xi’an without damage and within fewer than 7 days, which halved the normal 15 days and was highly recognized by the customer.
