10:28 July 1st, the freight train 45510/81219 fully loaded with 27 cars of PRD light products rolls out of Guangzhou freight hub Dalang station, predicted to reach Moscow in 18 days. It’s the longest international freight train for China’s “New Railway Silk Road”, also by far the world’s longest railway freight train.
The train covers a range of over 11,000 km, of which 4,400 km is within China and the rest 6,600 km out of China. It saves at least 15 days compared to maritime transport. Its operation enables the most cost-effective transport means for trading between the Pearl River Delta and East Europe.
