In December 2015, Realogistics International (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (“Realogistics Beijing” ) got an order from a customer to transport its mask aligners: As the mask aligner is a high-value precision instrument and is sensitive to ambient temperature (storage temperature suggested at above 23℃), so Air Suspension Truck-heater is required for ensure goods safety.

3. Difficulties in transport:

① As the height of the goods exceeded 160cm, the air freighter was the only option. However, as there was no flight then in ICN, Realogistics Beijing then changed the destination into TSN, where colleagues in TSN helped with local issues.

② Due to the particularity of the goods, the customer hoped to complete the transport as fast as possible and reduce any unnecessary in-transit stop. After communications, KE agreed that the air- suspension truck-heater could go into the warehouse and stay there for 5 hours before departure of the goods, so that we ensured the storage conditions of the goods to the greatest extent.

③ Normally, the high-temperature control service in the plane is provided for transport of live animals, so it is not necessarily what each flight is equipped. Thus inquiry and confirmation with the air carrier is a must.

4. Illustrations of transport process

In handling goods requiring temperature control, the premise lies in every possible effort to avoid the risk of damage in the transport. Different from refrigerated or frozen goods, those requiring high-temperature storage are faced with more complicated conditions of ambient environment. In light of the actual conditions of both the goods and flight, Realogistics Beijing sketched the optimal transport solution and route in advance, took pictures in the whole process of the transport and tracked purpose and updated real-time transport status to the customer. In the end, the goods was sent to the customer in a safe manner, highly appreciated by the customer.
