Realogistics International (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (“Realogistics Beijing”) got an order for transporting chicken-farming equipment. Communications and collaborations with the customer enabled the optimized solution tailored for the customer, followed by its smooth implementation. Specific operating procedures are as follows:
• After acquiring related transport information, Realogistics Beijing got in touch with the agent in Europe, communicating detailed contact information of the consignor, name of the domestic receiver, description of goods, waybill number, specific container quantity and type, clauses of shipment, etc.

• After confirming the information, the European agent arranged reasonable shipping based on the conditions of the goods and made the loading schedule;
Key point: Normally as it exceeds 20 containers, booking has to be made 15 days in advance.
• In accordance with the shipping schedule, the European agent handled the empty containers to the designated warehouse for loading, normally 4 containers within a working day. Such a closely-linked reasonable arrangement ensured smooth operation and eliminated senseless waiting.
• Before the closing date of the carrier, all the containers were sent back to the yard waiting for loading.
• The packing list and invoice were also supplied to the European agent in a timely manner upon packing, who arranged the export customs declaration before the closing date.
• The European agent prepared the Bill of Lading, sent it to Realogistics Beijing and confirmed whether the Bill of Lading was correct before departure/manifest locking.
• In around three working days upon departure, the European agent sent the formal Bill of Lading and the cargo transport bill to Realogistics Beijing
• after confirmation, informed the agent of telex release of B/L at destination port and provided the B/L to the domestic receiver.
• After sailing, Realogistics Beijing tracked the ship movement on the carrier website on a regular basis and reminded the receiver to prepare clearance documents one week prior to arrival, so that import customs clearance could start as soon as the freight arrived without any delay.
• On the date of arrival, Realogistics Beijing immediately got in touch with the bill exchanging agent of the carrier and at the same time, the customs broker filled out the pre-recorded receipt in advance. Once the customs warehouse receipt was in place, it would be sent out immediately.
• In normal situation, the customs releases the tax bill in three working days. The electronic tax bill will then be sent to the customer who can directly make the payment immediately to the designated account of the customs, which, after receiving the tax, will release the goods within 1-3 working days.
• After getting the customs’ freight release, Realogistics will immediately assign its staff to make payment at the container yard. After payment and inspection of wooden packages, freight delivery can be then arranged.
• Realogistics confirms the delivery frequency with the receiver in advance for proper arrangement so that a new container arrives once the unloading of the previous is just finished. This ensures no delay loading or senseless waiting and guarantees smooth flow process of the receiver.
• As it was winter when haze struck frequently, the highway was often closed in the morning. In this light, Realogistics would make temporary adjustment to the quantity of containers to be sent according to actual situation. Normally, 5-6 containers could be unloaded within a day. If any delay of the fleet occurred due to the weather, it might be adjusted to 3-4. To save time, the fleet of Realogistics Beijing would load the cargoes one day before and set out in the next morning.
